Natsuko Watanabe, DPT
Doctor Of Physical Therapy
 Dr. Natsuko Watanabe was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan where she attended the American School and became fluent in English. During high school she was an avid athlete, being team captain in both basketball and soccer. Her interest in sports led her to come to the United States where she began working as a Personal Trainer at Syracuse University in New York. She graduated from Syracuse, Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science.
Her passion to help people with physical injuries lead her to earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree at Chapman University in Orange California. She interned at St. Jude's Medical Center and following her graduation she was selected among her peers to work as a physical therapist at St. Jude's with a focus on neurologically injured patients.
Her post graduate accomplishments include certifications in Advanced Strain/ Counter Strain through the Integrated Manual Therapy Institute. She is presently working towards her credential as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist, which is an elite training program accredited through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. This program enhances her skills to evaluate, assess, and produce for you an individualized treatment plan that will get to the root cause of your physical injury so that you can obtain quicker and more long lasting results.
Her philosophy in physical therapy is the fusion of art and science enabling her to be creative with each treatment while understanding the human anatomy and biomechanics. Blending the knowledge of Eastern and Western medicine allows her to individualize and optimize her patient’s outcomes through evidence-based and holistic approach. This allows her to treat each person as a whole, rather than just a list of symptoms or an injury. Her passion is finding the root cause of the patient’s problem so that she will not only temporarily fix the issue, but help the patient obtain their personal goals and to maximize their health outcomes.
Utilizing a variety of specialized therapy techniques such as Strain/ Counter strain, muscle energy techniques, joint mobilization, neuromuscular re-education, nerve flossing, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation she is able to effectively help a patient restore their health and vitality.
In addition to her extensive knowledge and skills in manual medicine Dr. Watanabe is also a very compassionate and enthusiastic physical therapist. She enjoys being a part of the OC Back & Body Doctors' team due to the advanced multidisciplinary approach taken.
Felix Alcantara, PT
Licensed Physical Therapist
 Felix Alcantara Jr. holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, a prestigious school in the Philippines. From childhood, Felix has been active and very competitive in sports and has earned many awards and trophies. His primary objective is to improve people's lives in any way he can. This inspired him to pursue a career in Physical Therapy.
Growing up in the Philippines, Felix learned discipline and hard work from his parents. His experiences in life have taught him that you can be healthy and well if you work hard for it. This belief placed him to where he is today. He has a dynamic personality and doesn't settle for second best. His iron determination has helped him to excel as a physical therapist. He only wants what's best for his patients.
Over the past 8 years, Felix has gained a lot of experience working in clinics that specialize in orthopedic rehabilitation. His passion to be the best physical therapist has lead him to additional training and certifications in manual therapy and McKenzie Protocol techniques.
Through his 8 years of clinical experience and continued education, Felix has developed specialized physical therapy techniques that have tremendously helped thousands of patients.
